General Function
The Admissions Specialist is responsible for the admissions processing of the College. Services include, but not limited to, the College Foundation of North Carolina and Residency Determination Service.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinates College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) application, downloads, & corrections.
2. Serves as the College liaison to the Residency Determination Service.
3. Assists with the verification of non-fraudulent admissions applications.
4. Processes and analyzes residency determinations.
5. Ensures beyond exceptional customer service is provided to all stakeholders within the college.
6. Processes updates and corrections to the admissions web pages.
7. Updates student demographic and academic records, as needed.
8. Provides admissions data to leaders in Admissions and Student Affairs.
9. Supports the overall functions of the Admissions Office in enrolling students.
10. Provides admissions information, as needed, to the College Recruiters, Navigators and Advisors.
11. Supports admissions leadership and staff by providing technical support, as needed.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong organizational skills with experience in program coordination
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form
Ability to organize and effectively communicate a variety of information to diverse groups of people.
Strong attention to detail
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree and one year related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in customer oriented or student-centered academic environment

- A completed Central Piedmont application must be completed on-line. During the on-line application process, applicants will be prompted to upload or build a cover letter and resume.

Conditions of Employmen
Salary for this position is $41,600 - $58,211. Pay grade for this position is J. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Classified. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
