Description

The primary duties of the post-doctoral research fellow will include planning, coordinating and performing scientific experiments in the field of glucose homeostasis with a focus on islet biology and therapeutic developments such islet transplantation and novel pharmacotherapy for diabetes.  The fellow will also be expected to accurately record research data on a laboratory notebook, maintain a computer excel database, analyze, plot and interpret research data and produce data reports for the principal investigator and to prepare presentations and abstracts for the scientific meetings. The research fellow will also be expected to prepare figures, write and edit their publications


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD or MD or both required
  • A minimum of one year of experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical analysis is required
  • Experience in the use of animals in research is preferred
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and statistical software is required
