Seeking an outstanding individual to assist with research in Dr. Liu and Dr. Sorrells’ labs to:

  • Developvectorsandconstructsforwheattransformation
  • Evaluatephenotypicperformance of various wheat lines under different abiotic stress conditions
  • Develop strategies to evaluate and characterize mineral-nutrition-use efficiency in crop plants
  • Conduct, analyze, interpret, and report research
  • Supervisetechnicalstaff/students
  • Presentresultsintheformofmanuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings

Lab Research 70%; Writing 25%; Other 5%

  • Ph. D. in plant molecular biology, genetics, development or a related discipline is required.
  • Expertise in molecular biology, gene cloning, and biotechnological approaches.
  • ExperiencewithquantitativegeneticsandGWASapproacheswillbeaplus.

This position may supervise technical staff and students.
