Description
The primary focus for this position will be the development of new therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease using a range of cell and mouse models. The Edson Fellow will be expected to remain current in the relevant scientific literature, organize and conduct their own experiments, analyze data, write draft manuscripts, and potentially submit independent grant applications.
Essential duties include:
- Conduct wet lab experiments, including: cell culture, cell transfections, protein extraction, western analyses, ELISAs, immunohistochemistry
- Analyze data: Familiarity with Excel, Prism, Word
- Organize data and draft manuscripts
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A completed PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a related field within the last five years.
