Summary
Academic faculty position is available in the Section of General Surgery; duties include patient care, teaching, administrative, and research responsibilities. Research activity will include initiation of projects, acquisition of external funding, project direction, and publications.
Required Qualifications*
Medical doctorate degree. Completion of General Surgery residency training program. American Board of Surgery certification or eligibility. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan and a Federal DEA registration. Demonstrated ability as an academic surgeon. Evidence of competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected. Evidence of scholarly ability (publications in peer-reviewed journals, successful acquisition of external funding, etc.) is also expected.

Background Screening
