Job Description
- Class Description
The purpose of position is to assist the Director of Purchasing as liaison between the Purchasing Department and the College community and provide backup support for the procurement card program.
- Minimum Requirements
Associate degree and one (1) or more years of public purchasing experience or three (3) years equivalent experience involving procurement and/or purchasing duties including assisting with soliciting, evaluating, and awarding contracts or ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, word processing and online financial management systems required.
- Class Specific Essential Duties
- Assist with the preparation of solicitation documents
- Post solicitation documents on e-Maryland Marketplace.
- Establish sources of supply and generate a source list for college purchases.
- Maintain list of long-term contracts.
- Generate correspondence for contracts, event agreements, and renewals.
