Summary of Position

The Senior Producer, Design is responsible for the design and direction of visual elements and representation of the UNH master brand for the university’s key audiences. Primary responsibilities include concepting and executing visual materials to support UNH’s marketing goals and strategic priorities across all channels and platforms. The Senior Producer, Design will collaborate closely with other team members within the marketing department and across UNH to effectively promote the UNH brand. Additionally, the Senior Producer, Design will contribute to and enforce the visual style guidelines for all of UNH’s promotional assets. This position will also contribute to leading creative projects as needed. Additionally, the Senior Producer, Design will collaborate with external resources, which may include designers, photographers, videographers, agencies, and other creative services as needed.

Other minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in design, communications, visual arts, or related field. A minimum of seven years of experience in design, preferably in collaborative team environments. Strong design skills with attention to audience and the ability to execute projects across all channels and platforms. Ability to supervise the design work of internal and external partners and provide guidance while working to meet deadlines. Knowledge of higher education and trends in design and communication. Effective communicator in both written and verbal skills. Technology skills as required by department. Portfolio that demonstrates design and campaign creative work is required.

Duty/Responsibility

Concept and execute visual materials to support UNH’s marketing goals and strategic priorities across all channels and platforms with primary projects including (but not limited to) collateral, landing pages, outdoor advertising, brand identity, art direction, social media, publications, digital advertising, animations, signage, etc. for the university’s primary audiences including prospective students and their families, alumni and donors, current students and staff, and New Hampshire stakeholders in government and business.

Duty/Responsibility

Collaborate extensively with colleagues in cross-functional teams (marketing, content, video, social media, etc.) within the department and across campus to help develop consistent and cohesive multi-channel creative campaigns for various audiences. Additionally, collaboration with outside freelancers and agencies on creative projects may be required. Provide strategic guidance and oversight of visual projects by others in creative, freelancers, student workers, agencies, etc. as needed. Collaborate with external resources on creative projects, which may include designers, photographers, videographers, agencies, and others as needed.

Duty/Responsibility

Contribute to and enforce the visual style guidelines for all of UNH’s promotional assets. Participate in the on-going development of UNH visual aesthetic, brand architecture and other creative elements that support the brand identity. Ensure brand compliance of visual projects within the department and with all partners across UNH.

Keep up to date on new trends and skills in creative. Research best practices in design and related creative fields. Knowledge of higher-education competitor’s creative execution and approach.
