Position Description

Advertised Job Summary	To support the PI in completion of research, writing of grants, and mentoring students. The successful candidate will carry out basic research in the field of global seismology, including but not limited to; tomography, waveform analysis, noise correlation, and array studies.
Minimum Qualifications	PhD in geophysics, physics, or a related field by start date of employment; demonstrated experience in scientific publishing; scientific programming with at least one of: python, Fortran, C++, or MATLAB (or an equivalent language); seismic data analysis experience with at least one of: SAC, obspy, seismic handler (or an equivalent software).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities	Experience with array methods; forward waveform modeling experience; background in global seismology.
