Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Program Manager coordinates all aspects of program design, development, implementation, and evaluation for a range of non degree programs for the Office of Executive Education. Programs may be delivered both in-person and online. Working collaboratively with staff, faculty, and clients, the Program Manager will manage programs as assigned and be responsible for ensuring that programs are developed and delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, educational program development, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with, Google suite, Microsoft office, Adobe products, and learning management systems: e.g., Canvas LMS.
  • Ability to learn quickly, especially the ability to learn and use technology tools in the classroom.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor AV/IT problems as they occur.
  • Superior interpersonal skills to interact effectively and represent the school well with participants, faculty, administrators, and corporate contacts.
  • Ability to be a team player who works well with other members of the staff.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to flex schedule to work nights and weekends as required for programs. 
  • Proven organizational skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and adapt to faculty requests, with the goal of delivering a successful program.

Other:
This position may require the ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

Preferences:

Preferences:
  • Master’s degree in Learning Science, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or other education-focused field plus 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in instructional design, course development, and/or educational program development. 
  • Demonstrated experience in a Research I university as an instructor, instructional designer, instructional coach, or graduate student. 
  • Experience managing major corporate client relationships and/or events, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and facilitating the delivery of world-class service.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift ten lbs. Desk and computer work, some light carrying of program materials. Travel within the Metro DC area for face to face client and prospective learner meetings, probability of quarterly travel outside of the local area for conferences and client meetings.
