Summary of Position

Full time teaching across a diverse set of courses ranging from introductory courses to advanced classes in economics and finance courses within the recently approved new common core of business classes.
  • Advising and service to students as detailed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Area of specialty research and contributions to the overall business communications program within the school of business. within Plymouth State new core of business classes.
  • Preferred engagement in the student organizations via advising or marketing assistance for events across a number of student engagements such as Panther Pitch, Rise Above Addiction, MAPS, Enactus, or the new course digital marketing agency currently being finalized within the curriculum process.
  • Enhanced integration of finance and economics via the two new 4-credit courses BUS 1400 principals of economics and BUS 2100 introduction to finance within PSU
    and with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship cluster. These two courses are part of the new common core of business classes and vital to the future collaborative initiatives with other students, faculty, and professional stakeholders.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s in business from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
  • Two years of university/college level teaching experience or comparable training and/or industry experience;
  • Passion for the field of finance and a commitment to exploring future trends in finance in away that informs scholarship of discovery and /or teaching;
  • Related industry or consulting experience that translates into and supports classroom learning;
  • Enthusiasm for, and demonstrated competency in, the integration of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Relevant industry or corporate experience is a plus.
