Student Success Navigator – Advising Technologies Lead
Job Description
Provide academic advising for all P&HCC students in all programs of study. Assist in the coordination of registration on and off-campus, serve as a liaison to academic advisors, assist in recruitment activities for the college, and outreach in support of the college mission. Serve as lead for technologies related to student advising and retention.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide student services through advising students on course placement based on multiple measures policy, assisting with course registration, connecting students to faculty advisors, and assisting with recruitment and community outreach. Bring continuity and cohesiveness to the cadre of recruiting and advising technologies through intermittent training, technical upkeep, and consistent communication with vendor liaisons.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Extensive knowledge of community college academic advising, testing, career development, educational programs, services, and activities of a college recruitment outreach program.
- Knowledge of principles of adult education.
- Ability to work with diverse types of people, including students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to develop, implement, promote, coordinate, and evaluate outreach programs.
- Ability to initiate, expand, and sustain partner relationships with other college departments, state agencies and community resources.
- Ability to integrate, propagate, and synthesize new and existing technologies to enhance the applicability to the student experience and increase the success of institutional strategic metrics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and at a variety of times based on institutional needs.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Word processing and computer presentation application skills.
