Job Summary | A postdoctoral research associate with background in materials science, surface science, chemistry electrical engineering, or related field. Position will focus on in-situ surface and interface characterization using ultrahigh vacuum apparatus and device fabrication/characterization to enable correlation studies. Extensive technical work, such as equipment maintenance and repair, as well as managing laboratory/personnel safety operations, should be expected. The postdoc will interface with graduate and undergraduate students, as well as funding program sponsors from both industry and government sponsored research. The postdoc will also be responsible for high-level technical publication and proposal writing, networking with industry partners and interactions with international collaborators. Experience with operation and maintenance of ultra-high vacuum systems, thin film deposition systems (ALD, CVD, PVD, etc.), and surface science systems (XPS, UPS, LEIS, LEED, RHEED, STM and AFM) as well as knowledge of semiconductor processing, fabrication, and characterization is required. Experience in device fabrication and 2D materials desired. Experience in preparation/submission of publications and presentation of original research at international/industrial conferences/meetings is preferred. |
