Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Support the chair and the faculty in the Logistics, Business and Public Policy (LBPP) Department and the Center for Supply Chain Management. Assist faculty in their teaching effort; for example, developing expertise in the Learning Management System and video instructional programs and by proctoring exams. Develop capabilities to improve and update the departmental website. Work with the Smith administrators (operations, Smith IT, OCS, etc.) to market the LBPP programs and assist with the recruitment of LBPP graduates. Support LBPP student clubs in their activities. Serve on Smith School committees when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required with 5 -7 years of related experience.

Experience in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters with discretion and tact.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Strong ability to work with students, faculty, staff, recruiters and alumni.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office and ability to learn Concur accounting system, Canvas learning management system and other University systems as required.
  • Must be able to work independently.


Experience working with student populations is desirable.
