- Acceptable minimum level of education: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Acceptable minimum years of experience: 2 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, education or human services and two years of experience in work related to administering educational programs. A strong candidate with related experience in an appropriate discipline may be considered.
- Must be willing and able to collaborate with coworkers and partners.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel for work. Mileage will be reimbursed at the current federal rate.
- Must demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.
- Computer skills as required by department.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in promotion of educational programs for varied audiences
- Knowledge of agriculture systems and practices
- Experience working in K-12 education or coordinating with educators
- Strong computer skills using Windows including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
- Experience with grant writing

- Utilize effective communication and collaboration skills to interface with diverse audiences, including school officials, educators, staff, volunteers, local elected officials, partners, and others to maintain professional relationships.
- Maintain an accessible database of available NHAITC resources.
- Manage listserv and other communication lists including participating educators and supporting volunteers.
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment, training, and retention strategies to provide classroom support.
- Develop partnerships and collaborations with agricultural organizations, schools, and other partners.
- Network with and attend meetings and conferences of local agricultural organizations and relevant committees.
- Act as the program leader liaison to the National Agriculture in the Classroom program.
- Participate on committees as requested and appropriate.
- Attend all virtual and in-person meetings.
- Develop promotional materials to promote the program, events, services, and available resources.
- Develop press releases communicating the presence and impact of NHAITC efforts.
- Assist with website and social media maintenance, including identifying and vetting relevant high-quality content to meet user and audience needs, ensuring content remains up to date and accessible, and organized with attention to user access.
- Publish regular issues of the electronic newsletter.
Duty/Responsibility
- Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events, including a robust annual workshop calendar, farm to school series, other educational programs, and recognition events.
- Coordinate and schedule volunteers for events as needed.
- Send reminder emails, distribute workshop materials, as well as complete post-workshop follow-up to attendees.
- Participate in state and regional conferences providing professional development opportunities and offer other teacher trainings.
- Secure funding for workshops, trainings, and events if necessary and in accordance with USNH policies.
- Develop, implement, and manage a post-workshop evaluation process that maintains engagement with attendees, supports further learning, and helps AITC to refine and enhance training.
- Provide technical support to participating classrooms to assist with the integration of agriculture, food, and natural resources into the classroom.
Duty/Responsibility
- Coordinate the development or acquisition of new educational units and material that are aligned with state standards.
- Develop and/or identify appropriate program evaluation tools and instruct program users on their usage to collect data on program effectiveness and impact.

- Assist in procuring funding through grant writing, assisting NHAITC Committee members with fundraising activities, sending donation request letter, and soliciting sponsorships.

- Develop plan of work prioritizing goals and setting tasks in coordination with UNH Extension supervisor and NHAITC Executive Committee. Report to NHAITC Committee on a regular basis.
- Report to the National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization (NAITCO) as needed.
- Maintain office in an organized manner so that others can find educational units, event planning information, correspondence, etc.
