Position Details:


Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Meteorology, Agricultural Engineering or a related field with experience in agrometeorology, crop/weather sensing, modeling the interaction between soil, weather, and crops, and forecasting.

  • Demonstrated experience & proficiency in python, R, cloud computing, and big-data analytics.

  • Demonstrated experience or interest in development of agricultural decision support tools.

  • Demonstrated experience with experimental design, field data collection and data analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated experience of individual initiative in research and pertinent publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Must have, or be able to obtain at the time of hire, a valid unrestricted driver’s license.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
