Postdoctoral Associate’s work falls under the direction of and contributes to a program of research led by Drs. Michael Manfredo and Tara Teel. Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities. The position will involve working with an international team of researchers, led by Dr. Michael Manfredo and Dr. Tara Teel, on a project involving a global survey of human values toward nature and wildlife. The survey is being conducted across multiple countries and world regions, including North America, Latin America, Europe, and Australia, with an interest in expanding to Asia and Africa as well. Findings from this project are intended to inform biodiversity conservation and human-wildlife coexistence efforts worldwide. The position may also include work on other conservation social science research projects. Beginning Monday, August 16, 2021, Colorado State University has mandated vaccinations against COVID-19. The position will begin in early 2023. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of additional funding. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: • PhD in psychology, sociology, social sciences related to conservation or natural resources/wildlife, or related field • Demonstrated experience publishing peer-reviewed social science publications. • Demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis in software packages such as SPSS, R, and MPlus.
