You will help us define the future direction of asset and calibration management for the Laboratory by actively participating in the design of the next generation tools and architecture for our systems. As a Software Developer/System Support Analyst you will...

  • Assist with requirements gathering, configuration and development for next generation Asset and Calibration Management system
  • Act as a technical resource for functional areas and a domain expert for business matters related to solution design, business process, configuration, and data migrations.
  • Provide primary support for existing COTS applications by upgrading to the latest technologies, responding to user calls, and addressing operational initiatives
  • Interact with all levels of users to capture and document requirements for reports, applications and integrations
  • Design and develop reports, customizations and integrations to enhance Facilities, Asset and Calibration Management applications and business processes
  • Design, develop, integrate and test plans for Facilities, Asset and Calibration Management applications and business processes
  • Apply sound configuration management and configuration control of software products and documentation. Participate in design reviews, test plan generation and regression testing

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of IT related professional work experience
  • Have experience with software design and development, including recognized software engineering standard methodologies and agile software development
  • Have 3+ years' experience in software development with service-based data-driven applications, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and Configuration Management tools
  • Have experience with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Java, Java script, and Python/Jython
  • Have experience developing and maintaining system interfaces and/or REST APIs using technology like JSON
  • Have worked with reporting and data-visualization tools like SSRS, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Demonstrate strong multi-tasking and decision making with the ability to lead multiple priorities with high attention to detail
  • Have strong testing and troubleshooting skills with a demonstrable ability to resolve complex problems and optimize application designs
  • Have experience conducting research on new technologies/solutions
  • Have excellent social skills with the ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications to document and present technical work to a broad audience
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
