Purpose

Manage annual giving and gift/pipeline analysis and reporting for McCombs. Supervise a Development Associate for gift administration and 1-2 student associates (as needed). Assist with gift stewardship, internal communications related to giving and serve as liaison to business office.

Responsibilities
Annual giving: Partner with central Annual Giving team to provide data, knowledge for and execute on a robust annual giving strategy to elevate participation and engagement; Assist marketing manager with information for all direct marketing associated with all annual giving; Manage biannual 40 for Forty Campaign, student giving campaigns, Thanks Day, and any additional related annual giving events.
Gift and pipeline analysis: Research and prepare reports on a regular basis for the development team; Analyze gifts and pledges for leads on leadership and major gift prospects; Work with departments to communicate new gifts, gather information on usage and define funding needs. Manage pledge trackers for specific initiatives and special projects.
Gift administration and acknowledgment: Supervise Development Associate’s receipt of McCombs gifts and tracking to central gift processing team. Ensure gifts are properly coded in database for lists and reports. Work closely with stewardship team to ensure appropriate acknowledgment of and internal communication with those gifts. Serve as liaison to McCombs’ Business Office for gift information.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with CRMs, reports and data analytics.
Knowledge of annual giving operations, trends, best practices and an understanding of necessary steps needed to expand donor participation;
Proven/measurable track record of successful interactions with donors or clients, and experience in development, sales, or client services.
A passion for higher education and philanthropy profession;
Ability to work well with colleagues, faculty/staff, and students;
Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, and constituent relationship management software;
High attention to detail, sense of decorum and diplomacy, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask, organize priorities, think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure, independently, and without day-to-day supervision.
Willingness to set ambitious goals and ability to work within deadlines.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of higher education landscape
2+ years of experience in annual giving operations, trends, best practices and an understanding of necessary steps needed to expand donor participation;
5+ years of experience with CRMs, reports and data analytics.
3+ years of experience in development, sales, or client services.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $73,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
May work around standard office environment and conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.
This is an Austin, TX-based position and is eligible for hybrid work.

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
