We are seeking a skilled and hard-working analyst to join the BMDS System Analysis Team (BSAT) under the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. You will apply your domain expertise and technical knowledge of Missile Defense System command and control, and direct a team to perform algorithm maturity assessments throughout the system development lifecycle. This position will directly support the MDA/BC organization responsible for leading Government, Contractor, FFRDC, and UARC organizations in ensuring the C2BMC and BMD OPIR Architecture (BOA) baselines are developed and meeting the needs of the Warfighter.

 

As a Missile Defense Analyst:

 

You will:

  • Plan and coordinate technical assessments of multiple systems by 15+ staff across the BSAT organizations, implementing meticulous development and assessment processes that ensure confidence in interoperability and performance of missile defense systems.
  • Work closely with the government and contractor to identify and resolve key issues.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance for current and future C2BMC and BOA builds, helping senior leadership craft the evolution of missile defense by prioritizing and planning future capabilities while coordinating technical details across systems.
  • Review and present key findings, issues, and opportunities at major reviews as MDA/BC’s key technical authority.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in physics, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Have experience briefing and working with O-6 and above leadership.
  • Have 4 years' experience performing analysis of MDA programs or combat systems.
  • Have demonstrated ability leading analysis teams.
  • Are able to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics to audiences with mixed expertise, both verbally and in writing.
  • Hold an active Secret level security clearance by your start date. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have 5 or more years' experience conducting analysis for MDA programs.
  • Have 2 years' experience as a technical lead or project manager.
  • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Have a PhD in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent technical field.
