Summary of Position

Under general direction, provide administrative software configuration, feature integration, technical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance for the portfolio of software applications used and maintained by UNH Academic Technology. These applications include, but are not limited to learning management, media hosting and delivery, student response, student success, campus portal, web surveying, lecture capture, web conferencing, and teaching evaluations. Apply knowledge of UNH business practices and policies and the role of products within the broader Information Technology ecosystem to obtain optimum results. Stay current with the latest versions, issues, and user communities surrounding specific products as well as overall trends and advancements in educational technologies and their support. Maintain broad knowledge of application administration practices across the entire portfolio of applications. Collaborate effectively with application user support and training staff to maximize utilization of application features. Follow defined IT best practices. Participate in other Academic Technology project work as assigned.

Other minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in information technology field, Associate’s and six years, or combination of education and experience equal to eight years.
Familiarity with web-based, cloud-based, software-as-a-service applications
Ability to work collaboratively
Capable of troubleshooting complex problems
Able to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of information security best practices
Familiarity with ITIL/IT Service Management practices

Duty/Responsibility

Perform application administration activities for a broad range of diverse SaaS (cloud) systems including monitoring application health, implementing configurations, creating user accounts, maintaining permissions, and creating various data sets within the AT application portfolio. Perform and review data provisioning and other scheduled jobs. Keep all administration procedure documentation and testing guides up to date with latest information, keeping logs of decisions and implementation dates. Report on utilization of tools and features using built-in functionality.

Duty/Responsibility

Perform routine validation processes to validate both test and production environments following vendor upgrades.

Assist the AT application user support staff with access and technical resources to review new features and configuration updates.

Duty/Responsibility

Provide service and support to system end users including help with configuration and provisioning requests and troubleshooting reported issues and bugs. Work with other administrators, UNH system owners, and SaaS vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Duty/Responsibility

Participate as a core team member on major system upgrades and other Academic Technology projects as assigned. Contribute ideas and expertise, investigate and develop skills in new technologies required for these projects.
