We are currently seeking a Program Manager, Workforce Initiatives and Partnerships, who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

Your mission: In this role, you’ll manage operations for all HISD Dual Credit Accelerated Career Academies, as well as other special Workforce dual credit and partnerships with ISDs and industry.

Your work: Highlights
You’ll oversee ISD partnerships and the selection of student dual-credit participants in these special programs, as well as completion of class evaluations; faculty orientation; production of monthly enrollments; site set up; technical support to faculty; and student advising.

You’ll also serve as liaison to the Office of Resource Development and Grants, and the AVC Workforce Instruction office, in providing oversight of all workforce-related grants management, and you’ll monitor reporting and compliance according to grant specifications.

In collaboration with the AVC Workforce Instruction, you’ll assist with:
conducting labor market research related to workforce trends as part of the continual update of the Workforce Houston 2020 research dashboard and website;
 
producing newsletter articles, special and annual reports related to workforce programs performance;
 
planning, development and training delivery of workforce programs orientation standards, procedures and models for field implementation; and
 
marketing and promotion of all workforce programs.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
 
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years related work experience in workforce instructional programs and research required. Experience with labor market analysis and research highly preferred.
 
Minimum two (2) years in the development and planning of grants to support instructional initiatives.
 
Demonstrated successful experience in managing multiple projects, following timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to work with people at different levels of the organization.
  • Computer proficiency in Work Processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and make professional presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manger innovative, quality-based instructional courses and programs.
