Scope of Position:
The purpose of this position is to plan and deliver quality instruction to student with intellectual disabilities in the College for Life Program (CFL).
Key Measurable Expectations
The following are duties that are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.
- Plan and deliver a variety of instructional activities that meet the needs of students with intellectual disabilities;
- Coordinate with other CFL instructors and educational aides to deliver quality instruction and group activities;
- Communicate instructional materials needs to the Coordinator, CFL;
- Communicate student needs and concerns to the Coordinator, CFL;
- Attend monthly staff meetings;
- Participate in various planning, review and other meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field;
- Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred;
- Teaching experience;
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, gender, racial and individual diversity and values.
