Coordinator, Adult Career Scholars Program

Job Description Summary:

To provide support and service to students. To increase the percentage of CTE concentrators from special populations who receive a recognized postsecondary credential during participation in or within one year of program completion to at least 40%, the average for all CTE concentrators.

Job Description:

This is a grant-funded position through May 2023.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Connects students with resources that support academic success and program completion, including providing up to date information and timely responses.
  • Serves as a mentor, advocate and resource to assist students with navigating college processes, including admissions and financial aid.                                             
  • Creates and presents information sessions, workshops, and participates in other special events for current and prospective students to the program.                                                                               
  • Provides ongoing student success and career readiness opportunities for current and graduated students.                                                         
  • Establishes and maintains an active role in the college in order to support current and prospective students.                                                        
  • Maintains and updates records and files and submits program reports on a regular basis. Works with various partners to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and programming.     
  • Assists and connects students with information and support to transition to baccalaureate institutions or employment.

  •  Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) Recruit or other contact management systems.

Required Work Experience

  • Two years related work experience.                                                 

                                                                                                                                

Preferred Work Experience                                    

  • Two years experience in higher education or student centered service.                                                     
  • Experience to include experience with Constitute Relationship Management (CRM) Recruit or similar software.                                
  • Experience with Data Analytics
  • Experience with working for Grant Funded project               

                                                                                                                       

Required Education

Licenses/Certifications; Other                                    

  •  Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for local Austin area travel.                                               

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to create comprehensive maintenance and reporting of program data                                                         
  • Writing communication skills including online and social media formats.                                                    

                                                                                                                         

Physical Requirements 

  •  Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.                                                      
  •  Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.                                     
  •  Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.                 

Salary Range
