Digital Asset Media Program Manager

Job Description

Notre Dame’s Studio and Broadcast and Streaming Technologies, within the Office of Information Technologies (OIT), is seeking a Digital Asset Media Program Manager. This position is responsible for incoming media materials plus their storage/retrieval on/from the storage area network, LTO tape archive library and cloud-based system.

In this role, you’ll collaborate and interface with Digital ND, University Libraries and University Archives to determine taxonomy structures. You’ll implement taxonomy structures in asset management systems, run reports on and develop strategies to ensure all content is properly logged and accessible via search, and develop strategies to clean/correct metadata when found out of compliance.

Other duties include:
  • Management of storage capacities
  • Workflows and allocations
  • Collaboration on development and implementation of taxonomy standards
  • Management of user relationships and training.
  • Build relationships to understand user requirements and train video storage users.
  • Create on-boarding/implementation roadmap of users to ensure orderly workflows.
  • Develop cost recovery model, in collaboration with the director of broadcast technology and create monthly/quarterly/yearly billing cycles.

Minimum Qualifications



Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding and ability to maintain online, near-line, off-line and cloud storage systems using Cat-DV (or other) asset management system
• Understanding and ability to manage taxonomy standards and implement them in Cat-DV (or other) asset management system
• Ability to create and maintain workflows
• Ability to design and implement training and effectively manage user relationships
