Description

The Management Department at the Kogod School of Business, American University, invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track appointment in Management with a specialization in organizational behavior or human resource management at the assistant professor rank (or advanced assistant professor), to begin Fall semester 2023. We welcome applications from current Ph.D. aspirants (doctorate by August 2023) as well as experienced junior-level candidates. Ideal candidates will have:

 (1) earned doctorate in Business Management or a closely related field with an emphasis in organizational behavior or human resource management from a nationally-accredited institution;

 (2) a strong research program in meso- or micro- level management (special consideration for research and/or teaching interest in focus areas such as entrepreneurship, sustainability, diversity, or analytics);

 (3) teaching excellence in Management and related courses at all levels;

 (4) collegiality, good citizenship, and commitment to serve the school. We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of Kogod’s academic reputation.
