Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that reports to the Dean of Business Services and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

 

This position is responsible for developing and administering policies, procedures and controls related to fiscal matters of the college.  This director supervises the Manager of Student Accounts and the Manager of Accounting Services. Responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting for the college and coordinating the annual external audit and budget process.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related area and 3-5 years of related experience is recommended. A master’s degree or a CPA certification is preferred. Experience in governmental or fund accounting is recommended.  This position requires excellent computer skills and effective communication and organization skills.
