Job Summary
The Director of Development will provide leadership to the College and the Foundation fundraising initiatives including leadership with the Graham and Montague County Foundation boards, donor relationships including development strategies – identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects primarily in Cooke and Montague Counties and Graham.

Responsibilities and Duties include:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the overall strategic plan for the Development Office including the development of the donor and alumni database, plans for major gift campaigns and annual giving appeals and alumni outreach and cultivation in Cooke, Montague Counties and Graham.
  • Provide support for the Montague County and Graham Foundation Boards. Assist with setting up meetings and agenda, building relationships with board members and helping to identify new members.
  • Prepare and implement strategic plans for approximately 75 targeted prospects to cultivate and solicit them for major and leadership gifts to fund College or Foundation priorities. Meet annual goals for new prospects identified, contacts, number of asks, number of closures, etc. Document all development activities.
  • Must possess an understanding of current philanthropic and public relations interests of individuals, foundations or corporations, acquired through regular contact with those individuals and organizations. In turn, he or she maintains the necessary relations program to keep the institution name and achievements alive in the minds of individuals, corporate and foundation executives and board members.
  • In partnership with the Vice Chancellor of External Affairs, Development staff and other NCTC staff, maintain and strengthen relationships with current donors to increase gift size, frequency and retention through donor events, social media and online and direct mail stream.
  • Work with the Director of Development and Vice Chancellor of External Affairs in planning fund-raising strategy and for carrying out specific projects related to fund-raising.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties can change based on the need of the department and this institution.

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, fundraising and non-profit management, education or other related fields.

Preferred Skills & Abilities

 
Required Experience
Successful candidates should have 2-3 years of development and/or education experience prefer someone with fundraising, non-profits, donor relationships experience, etc.
