Summary

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Michigan is seeking a board eligible/certified physician in Pediatrics/Pediatric Cardiology to join the University of Michigan Congenital Heart Center.  We are recruiting a full-time Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor (title will be based on qualifications) in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology to provide outreach general pediatric cardiology care at University of Michigan Health at Sparrow Children’s Center in Lansing, Michigan.  Additional duties may include general pediatric cardiology consultation and inpatient service, medical student and house officer teaching, quality improvement activities, and research. The primary work site for this position is in Lansing, Michigan where Michigan Medicine has partnered with Sparrow Children’s Center for congenital heart care.

The University of Michigan Congenital Heart Center is a high-acuity, high volume program that includes more than 50 cardiologists, 5 congenital heart surgeons, 18 categorical fellows and an active Advanced Practitioner team. We serve patients at 14 outpatient clinic locations across the state of Michigan and Northern Ohio. Our culture is one of collaboration and collegiality, in which teamwork is prioritized.

About the Congenital Heart Center:

As an international referral center for children with complex congenital heart disease, the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital Congenital Heart Center is one of the largest and most experienced pediatric heart programs in the United States. This past June, US News and World Report released its rankings for the 2022 – 2023 Best Hospitals for Pediatric Cardiology & Heart Surgery naming our center #10 in the nation. Required Qualifications*

The candidate must have an MD, DO, MBBS degree or equivalent. They should have completed postgraduate clinical training leading to board eligibility/certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and have previous clinical experience in general pediatric cardiology, including transthoracic and fetal echocardiography. Successful candidates will hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. The candidate must also have the necessary clinical skills and knowledge base needed to work independently.
