The Pulte Family Charitable Foundation (PFCF), located in Boca Raton, Florida, is seeking outstanding candidates to fill the Development and Grant Assistant position.

Guided by the inherent dignity of every person, the PFCF supports non-profits and Judeo-Christian religious organizations by providing funding to solve problems impacting disadvantaged and underserved communities across the globe.

Position Summary

Supporting both the VP of Development and the Chief Grant Officer, the Development and Grant Assistant will provide general administrative and operational support.

Development – key job responsibilities:

  • Curate, research, and generate a database of qualified prospects/donors to support the PFCF strategic housing initiatives. What are the Pulte Family Foundation's Strategic Housing Initiatives? One of our first projects will be The IDDeal Home for young adults with mild tomoderate intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in the South Florida area. The second, Nuestra Senora de la Vivienda (Our Lady of the Home), will be a small to mid-size affordable housing community in the migrant community of Immokalee. FL
  • Utilize internal and external sources (internet, online tools, social media, IRS, and other public sources) to supplement, confirm, and further qualify prospects.
  • Analyze and synthesize assembled data to assess financial capacity, tendencies, propensity to give, and philanthropic affinity w/ PFCF.
  • Identify prospects for solicitation (six-figure gifts and up).
  • Provide preliminary recommendations on the best approach to senior staff for outreach.
  • Generate briefing materials for front-line development staff to best position them for success.
  • Make initial contact (phone calls, emails, and letters) to prospect list for scheduling appointments and other touchpoints.
  • Update prospect/donor management and tracking system (CRM) on all contacts, action/tasks, and strategies for timely outreach and conversion.
  • Evaluate research results, solicitation strategies, and giving patterns to identify areas of concern and best practices.

Grants- key job responsibilities:

  • Support the Grant Officer with maintenance of correspondence, policies, and other key documents both physically and electronically
  • Provide support in moving applications and payments through our grant management software (approving email registrations, editing mailing entries, managing the email queue list)
  • Support Grant Officer in pulling data and compiling content for the Foundation's board, grants committee, and other internal stakeholders i.e., slide presentation for the Grants Committee, annual report data, Board Meeting materials, etc

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), ability to communicate effectively, time management, project management, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, CRM Software).
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette.

Qualifications

  • Five years of proven experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Current or prior non-profit experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
