Position Highlights | The Department of Medical Imaging, University of Arizona-Tucson, has a postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. Russell S. Witte, PhD. The successful candidate will assume a lead role in developing acoustoelectric brain imaging technology, combining ultrasound with radiofrequency sensing to map electrical currents in the body. The successful applicant will work closely with a team of engineers and physician scientists to build and validate bench-top imaging systems before translation to the clinic for further evaluation and refinement. Minimum Qualifications |
|
Preferred Qualifications | * Candidate shall be self-motivated, able to work independently in a multidisciplinary environment, and have a track record of quality publications in biomedical imaging involving ultrasound, signal processing, and imaging systems. * Experience with Vantage open platform ultrasound system by Verasonics™. * Four (4)+ years’ experience with bioinstrumentation (e.g., oscilloscope, function generator, scanner). *4+ years’ experience in Matlab™/C++ or Labview. * Two (2)+ years’ experience with acoustic modeling software. * Fluency in English with excellent writing and presentation skills. * Experience with any of following: acoustoelectric imaging, electrical impedance imaging, EEG current source analysis, functional brain imaging, solving inverse problems, electrophysiology, ultrasound signal processing, pulse encoding and reconstruction, radar, K-Wave, FOCUS, Field-II, SolidWorks, 3D printing. |
