Summary of Duties:
The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine invites applications for a temporary, full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
The focus of our research program is to study DNA damage responses, immune responses, and how these stress responses relate to aging and cancer development. We use C. elegans, mammalian cells, and mice as model systems. Our current work includes the following three areas: age-related alterations in neuroimmune regulation, roles of collagens in stress resistance and longevity, and age-dependent oncogenesis. The Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to plan and conduct experiments to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in neuroimmune regulation, aging, or oncogenesis. The Postdoctoral Research Associate is responsible for data collection, analysis, report, and manuscript preparation for publications.
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a recent Ph. D degree in molecular biology, genetics, immunology, neurobiology, biochemistry, or other related area of study.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior research experience with C. elegans.

Annual Salary: $54,840-$66,600 commensurate with experience.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
