QUALIFICATIONS: PhD preferred, ABD considered. Interest in an eclectic liberal arts environment is desirable. May also consider MBA or other appropriate master’s degree and relevant professional experience.

THE POSITION: Hastings College seeks a student-centered, teaching-oriented Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance to teach in an established Finance program in our comprehensive undergraduate Business and Economics department. Specific course menu includes courses in finance and investments. In addition to program and curriculum development, the successful candidate will participate in departmental planning, advise undergraduate students, and play an active role in student recruitment. Hastings College is a teaching institution that gives highest priority to teaching effectiveness.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Business and Economics includes seven full-time faculty members, strong student enrollments, and a friendly, professional atmosphere.

THE COLLEGE: Founded in 1882, Hastings College is an independent, coeducational, Presbyterian-related, national liberal arts college with an enrollment of about 1000 students. The student/faculty ratio is 13/1.

THE COMMUNITY: Hastings (pop. 25,000) is an attractive residential community in South-Central Nebraska, 100 miles west of Lincoln and 15 minutes south of Interstate 80. The city enjoys affordable living, boasts good public and private schools, offers excellent professional and community services, and serves as a cultural center for a large surrounding area.
