Postdoctoral Fellowship in Anticancer Drug Discovery at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is offering a fellowship opportunity for truly exceptional young scholars who have completed their PhD within the last several years, and who are looking for a stimulating and supportive interdisciplinary environment to carry out independent and collaborative research in the field of anticancer drug discovery. Fellows will typically spend two or more years conducting research, with an annual salary of $58,000 in addition to a $7,500 allowance.

We are seeking individuals with experience in the following: medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, cancer research, comparative genomics, veterinary oncology, or a related discipline to conduct research on the discovery of novel anticancer compounds. Fellows will have the opportunity to optimize their independent research, as well as that of the Principal Investigator, through engaging with the Cancer Center at Illinois, an engineering-based cancer research institute, and the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology, a pioneer in advancing life sciences research with program areas in systems biology, cellular and metabolic engineering, and genome technology.
