Research Intern
Orthopedic Trauma
Full-Time
 

The Orthopedic Trauma Research Intern will be an integral member of the research team, responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the conduct of research projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Maintain and collect data for Orthopaedic Trauma Service Clinical Registry
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
  • Prepare materials for Institutional Review Board review submission
  • Recruit and/or interview research subjects
  • Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and/or supervisor
  • Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project
  • Manage and respond to project related email
  • Prepare, maintain, and update study materials
  • Attend Orthopaedic Trauma Service research meetings
  • Attend related conferences and other meetings as necessary
  • Summarize research project results
  • Prepare progress reports for the principal investigator and funding agency
  • Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations
 

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Orthopaedic Trauma Service members.
 

Minimum qualifications/requirements
  • Academic and/or work experience related to the field of research, as defined by the Chief of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with specialized software or datasets, as required by the supervisor
  • Satisfactory academic progress, as defined by the supervisor
