Job Description: The LifeMAP program provides intensive, individualized coaching for adults who have Asperger Syndrome or a related profile. LifeMAP coaches work with clients to identify appropriate goals such as living independently, transitioning to college, or searching for a job, and then developing strategies to meet those goals.

In the Business Manager role you will be responsible for maintaining the day to day finances of the LifeMAP Program, report to the program director, and work closely with the AANE’s Director of Finance as well as with all members of the LifeMAP staff.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting LifeMAP Director with development of annual program budget
  • Develop proposed budgets for grants and contracts
  • Create and update financial reports and analyses
  • Track and report grant and contract hour usage
  • Produce monthly coach/client hours usage report
  • Track client prepayments monthly and refund when necessary
  • Create financial profiles for newly enrolled clients
  • Issue monthly client invoices in accordance with applicable pricing, contract or grant
  • Process credit card and ACH debit payment transactions
  • Issue past due statements and collect past due invoices
  • Oversee and review accuracy of coach time and expense reporting
  • Calculate and enter bi-weekly coach payroll
  • Assist LifeMAP Director with new coach recruitment
  • Process new coach hires and terminations
  • Perform coach background checks
  • Supervise accounting interns

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years business experience in small business or non-profit environment
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks, Google, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and use technology such as ADP payroll system, DDS Virtual Gateway, Razor’s Edge CRM
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skill

Education / Personal Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Business or related field and a minimum 5 years experience
  • Connection to Autism community is welcome
