Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Hsiao, the incumbent will assist with the coordination and support research and educational programs in the School of Medicine, Department of Radiology, including support of the Augmented imaging/Artificial intelligence Data Analytics (AiDA) laboratory, comprised of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, medical students, residents, clinical fellows and faculty. The incumbent will assist in the operations of laboratory, including management of project deadlines, coordination of meetings with international collaborators, and assist in submission of manuscripts and grants. The incumbent will assist in tracking grant budgets and reporting to both federal, state, institutional and industry-funded projects. Incumbent will assist in the preparation, submission, and maintenance of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, and coordinate screening and consent of research subjects.

  • Four (4) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area.

  • Ability to coordinate complex calendars and interface with executive leaders and physicians.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work as a team to coordinate training programs with faculty, trainees and staff across multiple departments.

  • Proven ability to prioritize work in an environment with despite interruptions, while working independently and resourcefully against deadlines.

  • Proven ability to recognize problems, correct them as necessary, and seek help if needed.

  • Multi-cultural and multi-lingual fluency to assist coordination of meetings with international collaborators.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, writing and editorial skills.
  • Teaching and executive administrative experience is preferred.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check.
  • Overtime and weekends may be required.

Pay Transparency Act Full Salary Range: $51,949 - $61,972 Annually

The University of California, San Diego is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale. Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
