Post Doctoral Scholar

Conducts research and development efforts as a Post Doctoral Scholar at in the Nanoengineering and Biodesign Lab led by Prof. Carlos Castro. The Post Doctoral Scholar will focus on research in the area of DNA nanotechnology, especially for biosensing applications; prepares and documents information resulting from these studies and reports to sponsors; prepares research results and reports, conference and journal papers, and technical presentations; assists in mentoring student employees; attends research group and unit meetings;

Qualifications:

Minimum education required:

Doctorate (Academic)

Major: Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience:

Familiarity with DNA origami nanotechnology design,
fabrication, and characterization methods including
electron microscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy and
imaging.

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $46,100 to $61,500
