Assist the Pre-K Academy with clerical office tasks, and in the Pre-K Academy classrooms.

Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must successfully pass an FBI fingerprint check and criminal history background check
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of general office equipment to include copier, fax machine, and multi-line telephone
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills

Childcare or major in childcare/education

Office and clerical tasks;
Assist teachers with small groups of children as needed;
Help teachers with tasks outside of the classroom when needed;
Other duties as assigned.

Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Work is mostly performed indoors; some outdoor Midland College or community events may be required
The person in this position needs to frequently move/travel from the office to other locations on campus
The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
Must be in good physical health, energetic, nurturing, and patient
Must be able to lift children up to 40 pounds assist with potty training, walking, bending, standing, stooping, reaching, squatting down, stretching, sitting on the floor, rising up from low chairs or when sitting on the floor, and must be able to participate with children on the playground
