Do you want to work alongside engineers and analysts in our Ft. Walton Beach field office who are revolutionizing the weapons systems of the future?

 

Are you interested in developing algorithms that help analyze the performance of hypersonic weapons?

 

If you are pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Math, or a related field of study and want to work on challenging technical problems that help ensure some of our nation’s premier hypersonic strike weapons under development can meet performance requirements, we’d love to have you join our team!

 

As a Hypersonics Algorithm Developer intern in the Tactical Weapons System Engineering group, you would have the opportunity to develop your skills in algorithm development, software design and development, and performance analysis.


Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Are working toward a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Math, or a related technical field.
  • Have experience with C++, MATLAB, Excel, and Linux/UNIX.
  • Have interest or experience in analyzing system performance and developing an understanding of the factors that drive that performance.
  • Have the ability to solve complex problems using definable and documentable processes.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Note: When prompted to upload attachments, please include a copy of your college transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.   • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
