The Schaefer Research Group in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has an opening for a postdoctoral scholar with expertise in synthetic organic chemistry that is excited to lead in a collaborative environment. A background in framework linker synthesis (MOFs/COFs) or novel monomer/ small molecule synthesis is especially suited for this position. The scholar will synthesize new small molecules and salts for applications related to energy and sustainability. The scholar will have the opportunity to learn about materials characterization, separation membranes, and batteries. The scholar will collaborate with and mentor junior researchers.
