Assist the Office of Student Life by planning and promoting co-curricular activities via Student Activities on the Midland College Campus. This position focuses on student and organizational involvement on campus.
Required Qualifications
Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
Basic computer skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills

Essential Functions
Solicit student feedback to determine the types of activities students most want to see at MC;
Work with volunteers, organization leaders, and MC faculty and staff to organize all programs and events;
Design and conduct educational, diverse, and entertaining events;
Events may include student group activities and involvement opportunities (e.g., organizational excellence awards, involvement fairs, fundraisers, and socials;
Serve on the homecoming committee along with the Coordinators in Student Activities;
Work alongside Student Activities Coordinators as well as other SA interns to produce, execute, and maintain contracts with vendors, entertainment, etc;
Assist in the maintenance of Game Room and Student Activities programming spaces;
Other duties as assigned.

Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Work is mostly performed indoors; some outdoor Midland College or community events may be required
The person in this position needs to occasionally move/travel from the office to other locations on or off-campus
The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
