The Rebeiz lab seeks a Research Associate to contribute to investigations of the evolution of novel morphological structures in Drosophila .  Specific projects might include studies of gene regulatory networks, gene regulatory elements or morphogenetic processes underlying novel physical traits in lineages close to D. melanogaster . These studies will be under the direction of Mark Rebeiz and will include participation in the general scholarly activities of our research group.

Qualified applicants will have at minimum a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics or a related field and at least 4 years of Postdoctoral research experience.  Preferred qualifications include experience with Drosophila, experience with transgenesis, in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, CRISPR/Cas9, and embryonic injections.
