As part of our Audit and Advisory Team, you will be tasked with providing objective assurance and insight to the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees and Executive Management on the effectiveness and efficiency of the University’s compliance programs. Audit and Advisory is tasked with providing objective assurance and insight to the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees and Executive Management on the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, risk management, and internal control processes
 
Specific responsibilities of the Compliance Oversight Program Manager include the following:.
  1. Develop strategy and objectives for central compliance oversight program at the enterprise-level and at the division-level.
  2. Establish Compliance Leaders within each division.  Work with Compliance Leaders and Office of General Counsel to identify potential changes in laws and regulations that might impact the University’s compliance requirements.
  3. Facilitate compliance self-assessments and work with Compliance Leaders to remediate out-of-compliance conditions.
  4. Implement and maintain central database of all compliance requirements by division and at the enterprise-level.
  5. Ensure sufficient evidence of compliance is maintained in order to satisfy external audits and inquiries.     
  6. Conduct annual Conflict of Interest surveys for Faculty, Staff and Board of Trustees.  Follow up on disclosures and action plans.
  7. Participate in reviews and updates of internal policies as needed.
  8. Perform assessments of third-party contracts to confirm adherence to terms.
  9. Participate in training and awareness programs as needed.
  10. Serve as System Administrator for the EthicsPoint Reporting tool. Follow up on open cases and provide internal statistical reporting on closed cases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Auditing or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working within Compliance.
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal and regulatory compliance requirements. 
  • Ability to objectively assess adherence to legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
