About the Job

We have a Full-Time opening for a Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Case Manager position in Seattle, Washington. A successful applicant will become a member of a dedicated team whose mission is to work with houseless Veterans and their families to coordinate and monitor successful community living through the HUD-VASH voucher program. Specifically, this position helps connect Veterans with qualified housing and maintain that housing as they stabilize in other areas of their lives. This may include assisting them with obtaining benefits, helping them gain independent living skills, interfacing with landlords, accessing public transit and services, and connecting them to services that help with maintain sobriety and improve their mental health.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Full Time Day)

What You’ll Make

$5,000 - $6,500 per month DOE/Credentials.

Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).

About the Program

VASH works directly with Veterans by assisting them in navigating very complex systems (rental applications and requirements, HUD subsidy applications, benefits systems, public transportation, etc.), providing other supportive assistance, helping them maintain residence, and teaching skills to help them become as stably housed and independent as possible in the community.


ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

What You’ll Need

Following criteria is REQUIRED:

  • Licensed clinical degree OR a Masters degree that is eligible for clinical licensure
  • Ability to pass an extensive VA background check (chosen candidates will be required to complete the VA's VASH orientation and training)
  • CPR certified to Basic Life Skills training course
  • Ability to travel (mostly within the community)

Additional qualifications PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge in the area of community resources and familiarity with HUD vouchering and rental assistance systems
  • Experience working with houseless individuals and/or the public housing authority.
  • Preference will be given to Veterans


Successful applicants MUST have a valid Washington driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record and have the ability to pass an extensive background check through the VA.
