Saint Joseph’s University invites applications for a tenure track position in Accounting. A Ph.D, DBA or ABD with evidence of progress towards completion is required. All areas of Accounting interest will be considered, but significant background and experience in technology and related skills common in the profession are required. Candidates with prior teaching experience in Accounting, work experience in the profession, and a professional certification (CPA) are encouraged to apply. The appointment has a 3/3 teaching load and requires both in – person and online teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate (Masters) levels. The individual selected for this position will be expected to develop a quality research and publication record along with some advising/mentoring of students.
The Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University is AACSB accredited and the Department of Accounting has earned separate AACSB accreditation, with the college programs highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report. The Accounting program has both an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Masters in Professional Accountancy degree, along with survey classes in the college MBA program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The appointment has a 3/3 course load and requires in-person and online teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The individual selected for this position will be expected to develop a high-quality research program and will participate in student advising/mentoring activities and departmental service as determined by the Accounting Department Chair.

Secondary Responsibilities: Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this position, an applicant must have a Ph.D or DBA or noted progress toward completion if A.B.D.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with prior academic (teaching and research) experience, industry experience, and/or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP, CPA) are encouraged to apply.
