Full Job Description
Overview:
The Human Resources Intern will learn from experts who have helped the ARS network become the national leader in the residential home services space for HVAC, plumbing and electrical service. The intern will be assigned a day-to-day manager that will provide continuous feedback and the opportunity for professional development and networking opportunities. The Human Resources Intern will have an opportunity to learn and provide support in the areas of Talent, Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits and Compliance in support of various ongoing HR initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Posts new positions on websites and job boards.
- Assists with screening resumes and participate in interviews.
- Tracks cost and effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies by role and market
- Collects and updates database with new hire information (e.g. pre-employment processes, employment forms, and contact information).
- Maintains payroll data including leaves and working hours.
- Assists with writing of job descriptions for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Assists Compensation & Benefits with benchmarking activities and annual benefits planning processes
- Helps prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents.
- Tracks progress, priorities, and deadlines of various projects.
Qualifications:
- Human Resources Management or Business major
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Some experience in an office environment preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and resume databases
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
