This is a job for someone who not only wants to learn and gain experience, but who would thrive in an environment where you will make a real difference. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, social media and basic graphic design skills as well as some experience in special events.

Located in Agua Dulce, Carousel Ranch is looking for a high energy, highly motivated and capable applicant who will work approximately 35-40 hours per week providing support to the Executive Director and Co-Founder/Executive Director Emiratis in both special event and administrative capacities. This position is ideal for someone that wants to gain valuable event and administrative experience and thrives in a fast paced environment. Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic, as well be able to handle the physical aspects associated with events as well. Candidates should be self-starters, problem solvers, be able to multi-task and the ability to work as a team player.

Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are a must. Must also have good computer skills, including ability to learn our database event systems, as well as using Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel, as well as some basic graphic design capability and social media skills.

Must be eager to learn, work well under pressure and deal with a fast paced and changing environment. We are looking for someone who is looking to make a long-term commitment (minimum one year) and will be able to rise to the occasion and take on more responsibility as time goes on. Job details will include, but not limited to assisting with special event preparation, answering phones, data entry, mail merge/mailings, etc.

Applicant should enjoy children and have the ability to work in a ranch environment.
Hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from approximately 10am-6:30pm with some Mondays, Saturdays and occasional hours based on events, etc. Flexibility in hours to accommodate school, child care, etc. Willing to complete background check and DOJ fingerprinting/Live Scan and CPR certification and Health Check (including TB test).

Must be flexible to work additional or different hours associated with special events throughout the year - often on a weekend. Hourly wage to be determined, however, we are a non-profit organization with wages beginning between $16.50-$18.00/hour depending on experience. We offer incredible experience, internship credit and a platform to build upon for those wanting to build their resume and knowledge.

Experience:

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
