Position Summary
The Tutor will support students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing program by promoting wrap-around support services; serve as a tutor or students struggling with application of concepts from theory to clinical/lab; assist with lab skills; mentor and track student progress; assist with quiz and examination preparation; and assist with the recruitment of students to healthcare programs.

Director of Nursing ProgramEssential Functions and Responsibilities
· Collaborate with nursing faculty to identify and intervene for academically at-risk students
· Connect students to support services
· Promote an educational environment that recognizes and values diversity, equity, and inclusion as integral components of academic success
· Assist in open lab creating meaningful learning activities for students to bridge the gap from theory to clinical
· Serve as the tutor for students who require assistance with application of concepts from theory to clinical and hold tutoring sessions with one or a group of students
· Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institutionOther Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Nursing
· CPR BLS Certification
· Active IL RN License
Desired Qualifications
· Experience orienting/mentoring new nurses in a healthcare setting
· Experience providing academic support to adults in a postsecondary setting
· Community college experience
