The Center is supported by the Computational and Theoretical Chemistry program of the DOE Office of Science, and has a main hub at Princeton University, a secondary hub at Temple University and nodes at the State University of New York (Stony Brook) and at Rutgers University at Newark. The goal of the Center is to advance the state of the art in the study of chemical and physical phenomena in fluids, interfacial and material environments, using novel multi-scale simulation approaches based on first-principles modeling and machine learning.

The center is seeking qualified candidates with a Ph. D. in physics, chemistry, engineering, applied mathematics, and related disciplines, having a strong background in theory and advanced computational methods in statistical mechanics and/or electronic structure theory. The researcher will collaborate, in an interdisciplinary environment, with the associated senior scientists of the Center, who include Roberto Car, Emily Carter, Pablo Debenedetti, Athanassios Panagiotopoulos, Annabella Selloni, and Michael Webb at Princeton, Michael Klein, Spiridoula Matsika, and Xifan Wu at Temple, Marivi Fernandez Serra at SUNY, and Neepa Maitra at Rutgers.
