Research Technician/Technologist

Job Description


The Division of Hematology & Oncology at The University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha), is looking for Research Technicians and Technologists to join Dr. Sunil Hingorani’s lab in the new Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence (PCCOE). Our laboratory investigates molecular and cellular mechanisms of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) pathogenesis.

Our ultimate aim is to take our discoveries and reduce them to practice in the clinic in order to radically transform the approach and prognosis for patients with this devastating disease.

These positions will assist with the regular functioning of a research laboratory in the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence. They will conduct experiments that are essential to current and future research projects, as well as discuss findings and provide suggestions for the successful completion of any ongoing project.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have experience analyzing and interpreting data
  • have knowledge of computer software for keeping records and graphically representing data
  • be able to organize research supplies and space
  • coordinate activities with other researchers and serve as a resource person for the activities of students, fellows, and postdoctoral fellows in the laboratory.
